CSA Farm Share AmeriCorps Member- Tulsa

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Outreach/Communication/Recruitment for CSA Farm Share Program (33%):

• Attend events to recruit community members and organizations to join/start their own Farm Share program
• Develop and distribute marketing materials, including social media posts to raise awareness about the Farm Share program and get people to sign up
• Take/share photos of the program/products to help with program promotion

*Site Management of CSA Farm Share at Site Location (33%):

• Receive/inspect and ensure proper storage of perishable product from OKC Food Hub on-site and throughout the distribution event
• Set up/tear down/oversee all elements of distribution of the Farm Share program's fresh produce boxes during distribution day
• Troubleshoot any issues with Farm Share produce box distribution, and contact OKC Food Hub staff as needed to ensure a good program participant experience
• Maintain an active participant list for all Farm Share program participants at your site. Email/text/call participants as needed to make sure they are engaged, aware of pickup times, and aware of what is going on with all aspects of the program. Communicate needs to the OKC Food Hub staff as needed.
• Create and maintain a waitlist of participants to fill in slots if other participants at the site drop out, to ensure consistent program participation
• Donate any unclaimed produce at the end of the distribution event to the designated partner organization
• Help with ordering the product at site if necessary
• Help communicate to OKC Food Hub any issues with participants in terms of payments, payment cost covering programs, vacations, or anything else

*Producer Support, Education Materials, Farm Share Program Feedback (33%):

• Create/find/provide/request any recipes/nutrition education materials to program participants as you see fit to enhance the program
• Request additional materials/supplies to program site from OKC Food Hub as needed
• Help give feedback to OKC Food Hub/producers on various products and how they are received at delivery day
• Collect feedback from Farm Share program participants and relay information to OKC Food Hub staff to improve program.
• Help brainstorm and implement ideas for enhancing program/program reach
