Data Engineer

Job Description 

• The key responsibilities include the design, execution and maintenance of critical data pipelines supporting a
  myriad of data-related use cases. A data engineer is encouraged to take ownership of the pipelines, to proactively
  look for ways to monitor the system and improve the quality of the data. 
• The candidate is expected to collaborate
  closely with other team members, which is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of data scientists, analysts and
  software engineers.
  

Job Requirements

• Flexibility and adaptability to employ appropriate tools to solve the problem at hand
• Willingness to adopt a customer-centric solutioning approach to understand customer pain points and identify key problems to be solved
• Proficient in data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow, AWS Step Functions etc. 
• Proficient in RDBMS solutions like MSSQL and Postgres
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python
• Basic knowledge of common BI tools like Tableau
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux OS for executing common tasks
• Basic knowledge on computer networks
• Willingness to learn how to deploy production grade data pipelines
• Experience with AWS tech stack will be advantageous

Database related knowledge/proficiency wanted:

• PostgresSQL MongoDB MinIO / S3 object storages Neo4j
• Design database schema (Normalised / Denormalised and Star-Schema)
• Design Data Access Authorization
• Database backup
• Proficient in python coding and comfortable working with open-source libraries, LLM, computer vision etc. to support product development, turnkey projects, and AI POC.
