Summary/Objective:

Our client is seeking a self-driven Sales Manager for our Integrated (DX) Air Handling segment who has a strong ownership mindset, bias for action, relentless customer advocacy, and front-line obsession. The Sales Manager role will focus on business growth and channel development in the US and Canada with new and emerging independent sales representatives. The right person will help build relationships and educate independent reps on how to be successful using our client products and engineered solutions. This role will be instrumental in the organic growth of the business through customer feedback and improving representative network effectiveness. Responsible for overall DX representation in Sales, working along with a team responsible for designing, processing sales orders, pricing, responding to customers inquiries, and expediting orders to maximize the companies sales effectiveness.


Essential Functions:

Overall responsibility for achieving DX and Energy Recover product sales goals

Serve as representative and end-customer resource for technical and application questions, leverage appropriate internal resources to resolve issues quickly and effectively

Develop DX and Energy Recovery product awareness at consultant/project representative level to include product capabilities, technical information, new offerings, etc.

Develop network of independent reps to support DX sales growth

Display strong external focus through a keen awareness of market conditions, customer and competitor activities and their related opportunities for the business.

Improve overall operational effectiveness of the organization through the development of annual sales plan, objectives, and forecasts aligned with overall sales plan for the business unit

Cultivation of new customers at the installing contractor level; product promotion to specifying engineers on new projects

Create and execute customized marketing plans for major customers within the territory, including participation in trade shows and association events

Identify potential jobs/projects in region and secure bid from independent rep or end customer, set review process with operations, sourcing, and engineering to understand future needs.

Extensive travel required, >75%

Listen to customer requests for product and prepare information to submit for quote

Confer with other regional sales managers, VP of Sales and/or General Manager on sales, review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and locations

Assist in all departmental functions as required such as resolving service issues and account receivables


Education:

Bachelors Degree in an Engineering, Business or related discipline


Experience:

5+ years of experience within Sales and a solid track record in sales achievements and in closing.

Must have technical background and experience selling DX (Direct Expansion) systems.


Skills and Abilities:

Computer skills intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point,

Internet Explorer and CRM

Effective communication skills including written and verbal. French language skills a plus

Able to speak to large groups

Good organizational skills

Proven ability to work independently and within guidelines / established procedures.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle high volume workload, participate in trade and home shows.

Strong relationship building skills


Requirements:

Must hold valid passport for travel between USA and Canada
