About the Role

Seeking an experienced Dam Project Manager to join our growing Dam Engineering Group. This role requires at least 10 years of direct dam engineering experience, with expertise in evaluating and designing the aging dams that define much of the New England landscape.

The successful candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer with proven experience in project management, client relations, proposal development, and business development. We are looking for someone with both technical expertise and a passion for helping public and private dam owners address todays engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and/or oversee geotechnical engineering field and lab evaluations for dam and civil/site projects.
  • Supervise engineers, technicians, staff, and subcontractors in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, construction documents, progress reports, and project deliverables.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and scopes of work.
  • Participate in client meetings, community presentations, and interviews.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in staff performance evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (ABET/EAC accredited); Masters preferred.
  • 10+ years of dam engineering experience, with strong geotechnical design expertise.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, HydroCAD, SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, L-pile, Plaxis, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS (preferred).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience in staff management, project management, and client relations.
  • Active involvement in professional or community organizations, ideally in leadership roles.
  • Commitment to mentoring junior staff and fostering team development.
