The Role
We're seeking a proactive Accounting Manager oversees the daily accounting operations, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and supports strategic decision-making by maintaining
strong internal controls and efficient financial processes. This role supervises accounting staff, manages the month-end close process, and partners with leadership to maintain financial health
and compliance. You will keep operations smooth, ensure accountability, provide insights that fuel smart business decisions, and be the main contact with the clients.
What You will Do
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting team, including A/P, A/R, internal payroll, and the general ledger functions.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial statements.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Oversee account reconciliations and ensure accuracy to the general ledger.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and internal reports for management.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and external partners including preparation of schedules prepared by the client.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Support leadership with actionable financial insights, and ad-hoc variance analysis.
- Develop detailed SOPs of processes, update as necessary, and ensure compliance.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years of managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Proven ability to lead, delegate, and hold a team accountable.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a remote or distributed environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
