Job Description

The Maintenance Specialist / Maintenance or Utility Personnel is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, safety, and efficiency of the company's facilities, utilities, and equipment. This role includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, as well as supporting cleaning, utility, and general upkeep tasks to maintain a safe and functional work environment.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, utilities, and equipment.
• Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests, service calls, and emergency repairs.
• Support daily utility work such as cleaning, waste disposal, and facility upkeep.
• Operate and maintain tools, cleaning equipment, and maintenance machinery.
• Assist in setting up work areas, equipment, or facilities for company activities.
• Monitor inventory of supplies, tools, and spare parts, ensuring proper usage and replenishment.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized services or repairs.
• Ensure compliance with company safety rules and government regulations.
• Recommend improvements to enhance facility safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma, vocational, or technical certification (specialization in maintenance or utilities preferred).
• Experience in building maintenance, utility work, or related roles.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Physically fit and able to lift, bend, climb, or stand for long periods.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or emergencies if needed.
