Job Title: IT Support Specialist (VoIP & Phone Systems)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Support Specialist with a strong background in VoIP and business phone systems. This role is ideal for someone who has worked with a wide range of VoIP platforms—not limited to a single vendor—and is confident handling real-world telephony environments. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with SIP, call routing, and system troubleshooting across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for VoIP and cloud/on-premise phone systems
  • Troubleshoot call quality issues, dropped calls, latency, jitter, and connectivity problems
  • Configure, maintain, and support VoIP systems, IP phones, softphones, and related devices
  • Work with SIP trunking, call routing, dial plans, and number provisioning

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with VoIP and business phone systems
  • Proven experience supporting multiple platforms (e.g., not limited to Cisco—experience with systems like Asterisk, 3CX, Avaya, RingCentral, or similar is strongly preferred)
  • Solid understanding of SIP, RTP, and VoIP protocols
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in real-time call environments
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, NAT, firewalls, QoS)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests efficiently
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
