Job Description:

We are a growing bookkeeping firm seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper & Tax Preparer to join our team. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online and Desktop

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements

• Prepare and file sales tax returns (if applicable)

• Process payroll and payroll tax filings (if applicable)

• Organize and maintain financial records for small businesses and individuals

• Prepare individual and small business federal and state income tax returns

• Communicate with clients to collect necessary documents and clarify financial data

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

• Assist in year-end closing and financial reporting

Requirements:

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, including QuickBooks Online and Desktop

• 2+ years of experience preparing individual and/or small business tax returns

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
