Our client is a globally recognized manufacturer of high-performance industrial pump solutions. Due to an upcoming internal promotion, we are offering an excellent opportunity to take over a well-established region within their international business.
As Regional Distributor Sales Manager – Southern Europe, you will be responsible for developing and expanding business across key Southern European markets. You will focus on distributor management, key account development, and project-based sales in sectors such as water & wastewater, construction, municipal and industrial applications.
This is a commercially driven yet technically engaged role where you act as the face of the organization in your region.
Take ownership by
- Developing and executing the regional sales strategy for Southern Europe
- Managing, supporting, and expanding the distributor and service partner network
- Driving revenue growth through project sales, framework agreements, and key account development
- Identifying new business opportunities in water & wastewater, construction, industrial and municipal markets
- Supporting distributors and customers with application knowledge, pump selection and system solutions
- Managing relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, municipalities and industrial end users
- Coordinating quotations, tenders and technical-commercial proposals with internal teams
- Negotiating pricing, contracts and commercial terms within company guidelines
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and regional specifications
- Representing the company at trade fairs, industry events and customer presentations
Working in the field:
You will work closely with distributors, engineers and end users, providing both commercial and technical sales support. The role requires approximately 40% travel within Southern Europe and 4–6 visits per year to the Netherlands for internal alignment and strategy meetings.
Job requirements
This challenge will suit you if:
- You are currently based in Southern Europe
- You hold a Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or Process Engineering preferred) or Business with strong technical exposure
- You have 5–8 years of experience in B2B sales of industrial pumps, fluid handling equipment or comparable mechanical products
- You have proven experience managing distributors and project-based sales across multiple countries
- You have experience in Southern European markets (strong advantage)
- You have solid understanding of pump technologies (centrifugal, slurry, wastewater, dewatering)
- You are able to read technical specifications, datasheets and system curves
- You are experienced with tenders and long project sales cycles
- You are structured in planning, forecasting and CRM usage
- You are willing to travel extensively within Southern Europe
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
- You speak Spanish, Italian, French or Portuguese (preferred)
- You are commercially driven, technically curious and comfortable engaging with engineers as well as decision-makers.
- You work independently, think entrepreneurially and adapt easily within international environments.
