About the Role
As the Branch Manager, you will ensure the efficient and effective functioning of all operational aspects within the organization. You will oversee waste collection, transportation, and disposal activities while driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will contribute directly to operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and organizational success.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Logistics qualification or 3–5 years' experience in a logistics environment.
- 7–10 years' experience in a managerial role.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Technical experience will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Efficiency
- Oversee daily waste management operations to ensure optimal performance.
- Streamline processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Implement and enforce SHE standards and protocols.
- Monitor SPI trends and manage incident investigations using the SHE Manager system.
- Conduct quarterly risk assessments and review SOPs biannually.
Fleet & Resource Management
- Manage and optimize fleet operations for waste collection and transportation.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and vehicles effectively to meet service demands.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all applicable waste management regulations.
- Stay informed of legislative changes and implement necessary adjustments.
Quality & Customer Service
- Maintain high service standards and address quality concerns proactively.
- Enhance customer satisfaction through efficient and responsive service delivery.
Environmental Sustainability
- Promote eco-friendly practices and innovative waste management solutions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and inspire teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Budget Management
- Develop and manage operational budgets.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiencies.
Technology & Innovation
- Implement systems for real-time tracking, reporting, and data analysis to enhance operations.
Emergency & Strategic Planning
- Develop contingency plans to address operational disruptions.
- Support the implementation of annual strategic objectives.
