PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (SUMMARY)

To provide a high level of support to the Workshop manager and Operations Team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Grade 12
  • 5 to 10 years' experience as a truck driver, bus driver, or other transportation professional.
  • Knowledge of Tracking Budget Expenses
  • 5 years' Experience of supervising a diverse and multi-skilled team
  • Technical Experience in one or more of the following trades: Diesel Mechanics, Hydraulics,
  • Computer literacy: Outlook & Microsoft programs, Fleet tracking Programs, Telematics
  • Teach safe and defensive driving techniques to new drivers and help experienced drivers improve their skills.
  • Develop and implement training programs and curriculum for drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Conduct driver evaluations to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to drivers on their performance
  • Track and report on driver training and progress to management
  • Provide support and guidance to drivers on complying with state regulations, as well as industry's best practices
  • Maintain training records and documentation of driver certifications and licenses
  • Schedule and conduct driver training sessions, both in the classroom and on the road
  • Conduct refresher training for drivers on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Keep up to date with changes and updates to regulations and industry practices and adjust training programs accordingly.
  • Identify preventative flags on vehicle condition and bad status occurrences.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

  • Monitor the tracking service to ensure adherence to all
  • company policies and procedures and daily schedules.
  • Report all violations, suspicious activities and deviances
  • daily with the Logistics Supervisor in writing.
  • Submit a weekly updated report with all vehicle tracking
  • irregularities.
  • Submit the Daily Deviance Report to the Operations
  • Manager.
  • Act as oversight or security agents for management.
  • Adjusts monitor controls when required to improve
  • reception, and notifies repair service of equipment
  • malfunctions
  • GENERAL
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Basic computer knowledge / skills required.
  • Compiling and timely submission of required reports as
  • requested by Company management.
  • Ensure timely professional feedback and follow-up on
  • operational issues.
  • Maintain a well-organized administration and document
  • filing system.
  • Assist Company management with relevant ad-hoc tasks
  • when required.
  • Comply to all Company's policies and regulation such as
  • SHE, work ethics and dress code. Etc.
