PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

    To support business units in driving operational effectiveness through the implementation of Human Resource best practices. To support organisational growth and development by working closely with colleagues across the entire business. To ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures, managing day-to-day HR activities, overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, supporting employee relations, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Policy & Procedures

Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, programmes, and initiatives that align with the organisation's goals and contribute to its overall success, while ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.

Employee Relations

Provide guidance on a wide range of employee-related matters, such as dispute resolution, disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management with a focus on fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Build and maintain positive employee relations, creating a harmonious workplace by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and promoting effective communication across the organisation

Employee Relations and Support

Build and maintain strong client and staff relationships by partnering with Line Managers on financial, remuneration, and benefit matters. Provide administrative support, educate staff on remuneration packages, and managing payroll-related employee records and benefits.

Employee Engagement

Facilitate and promote initiatives that maximise employee engagement and create a positive and fulfilling work environment where employees are invested in their roles and committed to the success of the company.

Recruitment and Administration

Recruit contractual staff for all branches, draft contracts, and ensure employees sign relevant documents and provide accurate banking details. Maintain personnel files for all salaried employees and ensure proper document filing. Facilitate and execute the end-to-end talent acquisition process. Manage an effective onboarding process for all new employees.

Benefits and Administration

Manage employee benefits programmes, providing competitive and comprehensive benefits packages.

- Identify, coordinate, and facilitate relevant HR workshops/interventions/initiatives as guided by the HR Manager.

- Contribute to HR and company-wide projects.

- Comply with the companys Information Security policies and procedures.

- Manage the Injury on Duty process, coordinate the Tennaxia monthly report, handle 3rd party payments, leave provision and management, and prepare monthly reports for Operations and Finance.

- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Namibias employment laws and regulations.

- Demonstrate data and computer literacy and analytics capabilities.

- Build strong and collaborative relationships across the entire business.

- Work comfortably within a fast-paced environment.

- Exhibit excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills

QUALIFICATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HR Practitioner or similar role.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience with VIP Payroll.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Own vehicle.
  • Namibian citizen
