PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (SUMMARY)

The Site Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with all legal and company standards. The role includes supervising teams, ensuring effective use of resources, and overseeing operational activities to achieve the best possible outcomes in productivity, safety, and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • At least 3 years of experience in an operational or supervisory role in a logistics or fleet management environment.
  • Class 2 Drivers License is required.
  • Experience with operational planning and execution of duties.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in safety and compliance with a focus on operational environments.

  1. Operations Management
    1.1 Supervise the performance of day-to-day operational activities, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
    1.2 Prepare work rosters and allocate employees to their tasks daily, ensuring optimal use of resources.
    1.3 Conduct daily toolbox talks to ensure all team members are aware of their tasks and responsibilities.
  2. Compliance and Safety Oversight
    2.1 Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including managing safety protocols on-site.
    2.2 Oversee safety inspections, manage risk assessments, and implement improvements as needed.
    2.3 Promote safe work practices and ensure all staff adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
  3. Resource and Fleet Management
    3.1 Forecast and schedule resource requirements, including staff, equipment, and materials for future workload.
    3.2 Oversee fleet operations to ensure vehicles are maintained and efficiently used.
    3.3 Monitor and manage fleet maintenance costs and ensure the efficient performance of site vehicles.
  4. Leadership and Team Management
    4.1 Lead and mentor a team of site workers, ensuring performance standards are met.
    4.2 Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage any performance issues.
    4.3 Develop and maintain good relationships with team members, promoting a positive work environment.
  5. Communication and Reporting
    5.1 Prepare and submit regular reports on site performance, safety incidents, and operational challenges.
    5.2 Work with other stakeholders to achieve operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
    5.3 Liaise with senior management to provide updates on operational progress and address issues as they arise.
