THE ROLE: CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER
As our CCO, you will lead the company's entire commercial strategy — driving long-term growth, expanding our market footprint, and securing large-scale industrial contracts across Namibia's most technical and regulated sectors.
You will be the architect of revenue growth, the face of the organisation to top-tier clients, and a key driver of operational excellence and compliance.
This role sits at the centre of the company's strategic direction.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAD
Commercial Strategy & Market Expansion
- Define and execute a national commercial strategy targeting Oil & Gas, Mining, and Industrial Waste markets.
- Lead portfolio growth in complex waste streams (drill cuttings, produced water, chemicals, tailings, sludge, hazardous waste).
- Identify, structure, and close large multi-site, multi-year commercial agreements.
Executive-Level Business Development
- Serve as the company's senior-most commercial representative to major industrial customers and regulators.
- Leverage deep sector knowledge to win high-impact tenders, RFPs, and long-term partnerships.
- Position the company as the partner of choice for compliance-driven waste and environmental solutions.
Customer Leadership & Key Accounts
- Build and maintain trusted executive relationships with top-tier clients.
- Lead solution design, customer negotiations, and strategic engagement initiatives.
- Resolve escalations and maintain exceptional service standards.
Commercial Operations & Governance
- Ensure commercial accuracy, risk management, and contract governance across all business units.
- Partner with Operations, SHEQ, Technical Services, and Finance to align commercial commitments with capacity.
- Drive price strategy, margin optimisation, and portfolio profitability.
Team Leadership, Culture & Capability
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial and business development team.
- Establish KPIs for growth, margin, retention, and compliance.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and strategic thinking.
HSE & Regulatory Excellence
- Champion strict compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and all legal and customer-specific requirements.
- Promote behaviour-based safety across all commercial activities.
- Ensure ethical, safe, and environmentally responsible operations in all customer interactions.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years senior commercial leadership, with strong exposure to industrial or heavy technical sectors.
- Proven success in Oil & Gas, Mining, Industrial Services, or Environmental Services.
- Exceptional negotiation ability, with a track record of closing major industrial contracts.
- Strong technical understanding of industrial waste processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or similar.
- Strategic, analytical, influential, and able to operate confidently at C-suite level.
- Willingness to travel to remote industrial and mining sites.
- Valid drivers license.
