Were seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to work remotely, preparing accurate cost estimates while providing additional administrative and coordination support as needed. Youll play a key role in reviewing plans, sourcing supplier pricing, producing competitive tenders using SimPro, and assisting with day-to-day business operations. Estimating & Tendering

  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes to determine material, labour, and subcontractor requirements
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates using SimPro
  • Source, compare, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing
  • Assist in preparing tender submissions, proposals, and supporting documents

Technical Support

  • Interpret electrical and solar plans to ensure precise take-offs
  • Provide input on cost control, value engineering, and alternative solutions
  • Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient project approaches

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotes, and supplier correspondence
  • Generate purchase orders, variations, and progress claims as required
  • Update project and job data in SimPro to ensure accurate tracking
  • Prepare and format reports, spreadsheets, and client-facing documents

Communication & Coordination

  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to clarify project requirements
  • Coordinate information flow between estimating, operations, and management
  • Respond to enquiries and provide professional updates on estimates and tender progress

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an electrical estimating role (solar experience desirable)
  • Proficient in SimPro (essential); experience with GroundPlan or similar take-off software is a plus
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, components, and industry standards
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs
  • Comfortable handling both technical and administrative tasks
