Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Design Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting our design operations by reviewing drawings, monitoring design changes, and making sure all project scopes align with specifications. You will work closely with our design team in Perth, providing technical support, drafting updates, and ensuring all deliverables are accurate and on time.

This position is hands-on, with responsibilities that go beyond coordination. You will be expected to complete drafting work when required, update redline and blackline drawings, and assist with the organization of design files and documentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Document and track design changes, ensuring revisions are clear and properly communicated.
  • Coordinate with the Perth design team to clarify requirements and address issues.
  • Perform drafting and design updates when needed, including redline and blackline modifications.
  • Review scopes of work to ensure alignment with project and client requirements.
  • Support design process improvements and help maintain project standards.
  • Assist in organizing design files, reports, and related documentation.
  • Ensure work complies with industry standards, codes, and internal guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • Previous experience in drafting, design coordination, or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of modular building designs (preferred).
  • Proficiency in CAD/drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools).
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities for working with an international team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
