Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and analysing financial reports, cash flow statements, and detailed management and operational reports to support strategic decision-making. This role reports to CFO and involves close collaboration with various departments to provide actionable financial insights that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Management & Operational Reporting:

  • Compile and present detailed management reports, including KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Prepare operational reports such as productivity, efficiency, and cost analysis.
  • Provide insights on operational performance to support strategic decision-making.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow projections to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  • Analyze cash flow trends and provide recommendations to optimize working capital.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with department heads to create accurate budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze budget performance and report on variances.
  • Support the financial planning process by providing accurate data and analysis.
  • Can create and manage 3 way financial models with driven from business KPIs and metrics.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Create detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Utilize financial software and tools to analyze data and generate insights.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in financial analysis, management reporting, and operational reporting.
  • Use software to enable automation of manual tasks and information flows unlocking efficiency gains.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Experience in preparing management and operational reports.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Xero, Aroflo and Power BI is desirable)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Must be willing to work onsite.
