Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Project Quantity Surveyor to support the project commercial team on major civil works. You will handle core commercial operations, including cost reporting, variation assessments, payment applications, subcontractor administration, and NEC change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day QS duties including measurement, cost evaluation, variation assessment, and payment applications.
- Administer subcontracts, perform cost comparison analysis, and draft contractual correspondence.
- Assist in evaluating NEC Compensation Events, maintaining early warning registers, and managing risk logs.
- Prepare monthly cost-value reconciliations (CVR) and forecast final accounts.
- Liaise with client cost consultants, engineers, and site operations teams.
Key Requirements
- Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of quantity surveying experience in construction works.
- Contract Expertise: Minimum 2 years of direct NEC contract experience on active civil engineering works (essential).
- Professional Standing: MHKIS or MRICS qualification is preferred but not essential.
