Overview
A highly regarded and well-established law firm is looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its Newark office. This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied caseload, deliver excellent client service, and work within a supportive and professional team environment.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to post-completion. The role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a proactive approach to generating and maintaining business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions

  • Generate new business and convert quotations into instructions

  • Prepare and carry out property searches

  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the process

  • Produce standard contract documentation

  • Identify and follow up on cross-selling opportunities for other legal services

  • Handle enquiries, exchanges, completions, and all post-completion matters, including SDLT submissions and Companies House filings

  • Maintain accurate records and comply with case management workflows and quality standards

  • Keep up to date with changes in conveyancing law and best practice

  • Meet agreed fee income targets and objectives

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experienced Conveyancer with a proven track record in residential property transactions

  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, Money Laundering Regulations, and Solicitors Accounts Rules

  • Confident managing a busy caseload independently

  • IT literate with experience using case management systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities

  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Legal Executive or Solicitor qualification

  • Experience using Visual Files and/or SOS Connect case management software
