Salary: 50,000 starting for Graduates 82,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations to diagnose foot, ankle, and lower limb condition and biomechanical problems

Provide non-surgical treatments, including prescribing orthotics and footwear modifications and minor surgical procedures like nail avulsions or wart removals

Administer local anaesthesia, medications, or injections to manage pain and inflammation.

Educate patients on foot care, footwear choices, and self-management techniques.

Develop personalized care plans for high-risk groups like diabetic or arthritis patients.

Monitor and treat foot complications in chronic conditions like diabetic neuropathy.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals for holistic patient care and referrals.

Maintain accurate patient records and prepare reports for insurance or medico-legal purposes.

Requirements

BSc or MSc in Podiatry

CORU registration

SCPI membership

Private practice experience desirable, but new graduates are very welcome

Caring, professional approach with excellent patient communication skills
