Overview
A well-established regional law firm is seeking a proactive and experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of litigation matters while contributing to the growth and development of a forward-thinking department.

The Role
The successful candidate will be confident, structured, and experienced in civil litigation, handling a mixed caseload including:

  • Commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes

  • Consumer law matters

  • Boundary disputes

  • Contentious probate matters

You will also support the departments marketing initiatives to promote the firms reputation and grow the client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new work and maintain high-quality service for existing clients

  • Develop and enhance the Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Department, encouraging cross-referrals across offices and practice areas

  • Achieve fee income targets and departmental objectives

  • Keep up to date with legislation and best practice in civil and commercial litigation

  • Manage billing, cash flow, and daily time records accurately

  • Perform fee-earning work in line with the firms quality and risk procedures

Person Specification

Essential

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive

  • Experience managing a busy caseload and working autonomously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to develop strong client relationships

  • Willingness and ability to undertake advocacy

  • Strong organisational skills and problem-solving abilities

  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Professional, positive, flexible, and a team player

  • Experience with SOS Connect or other case management systems
