The Opportunity & Client Profile

We are representing a well-capitalized, high-growth data center design and engineering platform headquartered in Singapore with branches in Hong Kong and N. The organization specializes in fast-track, high-density, and prefabricated modular data center deployments engineered for hyperscale and enterprise clients across the GLOBE.

They are seeking a Lead Data Center Architect (Pre-Sales & Spatial Master Planning) to act as the primary design strategist. This role bridges client requirements with physical building design, modular MEP integration, and site execution.

Performance & Time Allocation

• 30% – Pre-Sales Solution Architecture & Master Planning: Develop comprehensive site master plans, building envelope layouts, and high-impact renderings for client RFP responses. Collaborate closely with the commercial team to demonstrate the functional and aesthetic value of modular data center solutions.
• 25% – Architectural Design & Space Optimization: Lead the architectural design of physical structures, logistics flows, and vertical transportation. Perform GFA/CFA calculations, site utility assessments, and high-level civil/structural estimations for white-space optimization.
• 15% – Cross-Functional MEP & Product Integration: Partner with the Lead Mechanical (cooling loops) and Lead Electrical (power distribution) teams to seamlessly integrate physical MEP modules into the architectural framework. Ensure spatial compliance across all structural trades.
• 15% – Business Planning & Phasing Strategy: Formulate step-by-step master phasing plans and accurate early-stage budgetary estimates for civil, structural, and architectural works.
• 10% – Compliance & Brand Governance: Establish and enforce the platform's minimalist design philosophy ("Less is More"), corporate branding, signage, and standardized site architectural aesthetics.
• 5% – Technical Oversight & Delivery Support: Support on-site delivery teams during construction; review submissions from local Architects of Record (AOR) and audit vendor material finish boards to ensure strict alignment with core platform standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch).
• Licensure: Registered / Licensed Architect by a recognized professional body (e.g., HKIA, BOA Singapore, RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
• Experience: 8+ years of professional architectural experience, with a proven track record in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or industrial/complex infrastructure master planning.
• Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM orchestration, Enscape/V-Ray rendering, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong capability in rapid visual sketching during pre-sales client meetings.
• Interdisciplinary Understanding: Solid understanding of adjacent engineering trades—specifically how high-density power distribution and liquid/air cooling layouts dictate structural whitespace and building footprints.
• Languages: Complete written and spoken fluency in English. Conversational or professional fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese is highly advantageous for regional coordination across APAC.
