Overview
A well-regarded and long-established law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its Lincoln team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload, work in a supportive environment, and build strong relationships with clients and local property professionals.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion. The position requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding client care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions

  • Generate new business and convert initial enquiries into instructions

  • Prepare and review property searches

  • Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the process

  • Prepare standard contract documentation

  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities for other legal services

  • Handle exchanges, completions, and all post-completion work including SDLT submissions and Companies House filings

  • Maintain accurate records and comply with internal processes and risk management procedures

  • Keep up to date with changes in conveyancing law and best practice

  • Achieve agreed fee income targets and objectives

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experienced Conveyancer with a proven track record in residential property matters

  • Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process, Money Laundering Regulations, and Solicitors Accounts Rules

  • Confident in managing a busy caseload independently

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • IT literate with experience of case management systems

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure to tight deadlines

Desirable

  • Legal Executive or Solicitor qualification

  • Previous experience with SOS Connect case management system
