Our client is a fast‑growing global enterprise specialising in prefabricated (modular) data centre solutions, integrating R&D, advanced manufacturing, and lifecycle services.

Headquartered in Shanghai, Our client operates:

  • R&D centres in Changning and Jinshan (Shanghai)
  • Modern manufacturing bases in Jinshan (Shanghai) and Johor, Malaysia
  • Regional offices and service centres across:
    • Southeast Asia: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand (setup underway)
    • Middle East & Europe: Dubai (preparing), Spain (preparing)
    • Americas: United States (preparing)
    • China: Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Langfang

The Opportunity

They are seeking a Senior Brand & PR Manager to help shape our clients international brand presence, external communications, and public narrative as we scale across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the US.

This is a high‑impact, hands‑on leadership role suited for a senior brand/PR professional who thrives in entrepreneurial, growth‑stage environments and enjoys building credibility, visibility, and influence from the ground up.

You will work closely with senior leadership and report directly into the Head of Brand Centre.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Strategic Communications

  • Lead global brand positioning and messaging, aligning corporate narrative with business strategy and growth markets
  • Develop and execute brand plans, PR strategies, and thought leadership initiatives for international audiences
  • Shape our clients external voice across media, industry forums, executive communications, and key announcements

Public Relations & External Engagement

  • Build and manage strong relationships with:
    • Industry associations and ecosystems (data centre, digital infrastructure, etc.)
    • Government and institutional stakeholders
    • International and regional media
    • PR agencies and strategic partners
  • Oversee global PR campaigns, media planning, crisis communications, and reputation management

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and lead a brand and PR team (initially 1–10 headcount, scalable)
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, regional business teams, and partners across markets
  • Act as a trusted advisor on brand, reputation, and external perception at senior‑management level

What Were Looking For

Experience & Background

  • 10+ years experience in Brand, PR, or Strategic Communications
  • Experience in B2B industries required
    (Data centre, digital infrastructure, telecom, industrial technology or related sectors are a plus but not mandatory)
  • Strong fit with agile, privately owned or entrepreneurial companies
    • Candidates from highly siloed, bureaucratic brand environments may not be suitable
  • Proven track record managing international / overseas markets

Capabilities

  • Strong brand‑planning and storytelling capability
  • Deep PR resource network: media, agencies, associations, government or quasi‑government channels
  • Able to operate at both strategic and executional levels
  • Comfortable building structure where it doesnt yet exist

Language & Location

  • Fluent English required (Chinese not required)
  • Able to be based in Shanghai
    (Regional travel expected as markets come online)

Reporting Line & Team Structure

  • Reporting to: Head of Brand Centre
  • Level: Senior Manager
  • Team size: 1–10 (to be confirmed and scaled with business needs)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual package: RMB 300,000 – 600,000
  • 15‑month structure
  • Benchmarked to market; final package negotiable based on current compensation and expectations
