About the job Carpenter (Formworker) / Precast Operative
A well-established precast concrete manufacturer is seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter (Formworker) / Precast Operative to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience beyond general labour to step into a more advanced and better-rewarded role. While a background in concrete or formwork is preferred, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
Manufacture and assemble custom timber moulds for precast concrete components 
- 
Construct and assemble formwork to meet required specifications and drawings 
- 
Assist in setup and preparation for concrete pours 
- 
Strip and demould precast products 
- 
Grind and polish concrete surfaces to the required finish 
- 
Maintain and care for moulds to ensure consistent production standards 
- 
Operate machinery and tools safely (relevant tickets an advantage) 
- 
Work collaboratively with design and production teams to ensure precision and quality 
Requirements:
- 
Experience in carpentry, formwork, or precast concrete is highly desirable 
- 
Ability to read and follow construction drawings and measurements 
- 
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards 
- 
Punctual, reliable, and able to work on own initiative 
- 
Comfortable working independently and within a team environment 
- 
Valid machinery tickets are beneficial but not essential
