About the Team:

The Market Operations team is responsible for the strategic launch and ongoing management of our network in every country we enter. This team designs and executes the go-to-market plan for each region, manages the deployment of our physical verification points, and acts as the main liaison for all local partners. Their primary goal is to drive user growth and cultivate a thriving ecosystem for our platform in their assigned markets, placing them at the forefront of our mission to achieve widespread, inclusive global adoption.


About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced business leader to be based in our San Francisco office and lead our US Market Operations. The General Manager will have full operational responsibility for the US region, from designing the growth strategy to its on-the-ground execution. This individual will serve as the key point of contact for all other internal functions, including Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy, and Communications.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic and Operational Leadership:

  • Lead the design and implementation of the company's overall business strategy for the United States.
  • Address complex operational, sales, and logistical challenges to ensure efficient and high-quality execution.

Team Development and Management:

  • Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
  • Foster a team culture centered on accountability, collaborative problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Partnership:

  • Work closely with leaders from Product, Engineering, Customer Support, and Legal departments to ensure the smooth rollout of new products and initiatives.

External Representation:

  • Act as the primary public representative for the company in the US, engaging with business partners, government officials, and media.


What you are:

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, with a proven track record in high-performance operations, business development, or sales leadership within the United States.
  • You are resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, willing to take on diverse tasks to achieve significant impact.
  • You possess strong analytical skills, using data to inform decisions and actively contributing to strategic planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are a must, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and senior-level external stakeholders.
  • You are an innovative thinker who enjoys developing creative solutions to unique challenges and driving them to completion.
  • You have extensive experience living and working in the US and are able and willing to travel 30-50% of the time to support regional growth initiatives.
