Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Global Supply Chain Manager to lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations for data centre construction and infrastructure projects across multiple regions. This role encompasses strategic sourcing, procurement of long‑lead equipment and prefabricated modules, logistics management, and supplier development. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in global procurement, supply chain optimization, and cross‑border logistics, with a proven ability to manage complex supplier networks and ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of mission‑critical components.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Lead sourcing and procurement strategies for data centre construction projects, covering electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems, as well as long‑lead equipment (e.g., generators, UPS systems, switchgear, HVAC modules) and prefabricated structures.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers across global markets, ensuring alignment with project specifications, quality standards, and commercial objectives.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that incorporate multiple supply options to mitigate risk and ensure supply continuity.
  • Establish long‑term commercial agreements with key suppliers, driving cost optimization while maintaining quality and delivery performance.

Supply Chain Operations & Logistics

  • Oversee end‑to‑end supply chain activities, including demand forecasting, inventory planning, international freight, customs clearance, and last‑mile delivery to project sites.
  • Manage third‑party logistics providers to ensure optimal warehouse capacity, distribution performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate cross‑border transportation, ensuring compliance with Incoterms, trade regulations, and import/export requirements.
  • Monitor supply chain performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address bottlenecks, delays, or quality issues.

Regulatory Compliance & Market Intelligence

  • Ensure all sourced components meet country‑specific regulatory and certification requirements (e.g., SIRIM for Malaysia, equivalent bodies for other regions).
  • Stay current on trade policies, tariffs, and import/export restrictions that may impact supply chain operations.
  • Conduct market intelligence and supplier audits to assess capability, financial stability, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with project management, engineering, construction, and operations teams to align procurement and logistics activities with project timelines and specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between headquarters, regional offices, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of supply chain activities.
  • Support new product introduction and innovation initiatives by providing supply chain feasibility assessments and cost analysis.

Performance & Cost Management

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Implement supplier scorecards and performance reviews to monitor quality, delivery, and cost KPIs.
  • Lead cost‑down programs and value engineering initiatives in collaboration with engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in global supply chain, strategic procurement, or logistics roles, preferably in complex infrastructure projects such as data centres, industrial construction, heavy equipment, or manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings across multi‑country operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements across Southeast Asia and other key markets.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is essential for effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), procurement platforms (ARIBA, COUPA), and data analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required.
