Building Maintenance Manager

 Job Description:

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Building Maintenance Manager to lead technical operations for two premier properties in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage a team of technicians, oversee MEP systems, and ensure full compliance with Malaysian building regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance technicians.
  • Operations: Manage preventive/corrective maintenance for HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
  • Tenant Management: Handle complaints and oversee renovation/fit-out works.
  • Compliance: Ensure all systems meet Bomba, ST, DOSH, and DBKL standards.
  • Budgeting: Control operational costs and manage service provider contracts.
  • Emergency: Lead response planning for power failures, leaks, or fire safety.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in Facilities Management (min. 2 years in a supervisory role).
  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or Facilities Management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of MEP, BMS, and Malaysian building codes.
  • Communication: Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Flexibility: Willing to work weekends/flexible hours when required.
  • Plus Factor: Chargeman (A0/A4) or Competent Person (CP) certification.
