Position: Engineering Operations Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to incoming emails, handling customer inquiries and correspondence on behalf of the business owner.

  • Review project requirements and prepare quotations using established pricing matrices and company pricing guidelines.

  • Interpret and understand technical documentation, including PDF plans, AutoCAD drawings, iBwave designs, specifications, and engineering documents.

  • Generate accurate cost estimates and quotations based on project requirements, technical drawings, and design documentation.

  • Review and analyze iBwave designs to support project estimation, pricing, and proposal preparation.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather information required for quotations and project execution.

  • Maintain organized records of quotations, pricing information, project documentation, and client communications.

  • Prepare proposals, bid submissions, and project-related documentation as required.

  • Follow up with clients and customers regarding quotations, project updates, and additional information requests.

  • Provide executive and administrative support to the business owner to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Identify opportunities to improve quotation processes, workflow efficiency, and customer communication.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in estimating, technical sales support, project coordination, engineering administration, or a related role.

  • Hands-on experience with iBwave, including the ability to review and interpret iBwave designs and documentation.

  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, PDF plans, blueprints, and technical documentation.

  • Experience preparing quotations, cost estimates, or pricing proposals.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing technical information and pricing calculations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and manage professional email correspondence.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and general business software.

  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions using established pricing and operational guidelines.

  • Experience in telecommunications, wireless networking, engineering, construction, or related technical industries is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting software, or project management tools is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, or Industrial Services.

  • Experience using AutoCAD or other technical drawing software.

  • Understanding of project costing, material pricing, and estimating principles.

  • Previous experience supporting business owners, executives, or technical sales teams.
