Are you a high-performing sales professional in tools, equipment, or construction supply — but feel like you've outgrown your current role?

Our client is a well-established New Zealand supplier into the civil construction sector, and we're recruiting a commercially driven Business Development / Growth Lead to take ownership of the Auckland region and drive the next phase of growth.

This is a predominantly field-based role, focused on developing existing accounts and securing new business across Auckland. You'll spend the majority of your time out in the market building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

You'll also contribute to branch performance and day-to-day operations, however the priority is clear — growth first.

This role plays a key part in positioning the business for its next stage of expansion into regional New Zealand.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing new business across the Auckland civil construction market
  • Managing and growing an existing customer base
  • Building strong relationships with contractors and site-based decision makers
  • Driving sales activity, pipeline development, and commercial outcomes
  • Supporting branch operations and contributing to overall performance

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Background in tools, equipment, construction, or related industries
  • Strong relationship-building and customer-facing skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate autonomously in the field
  • A genuine drive for growth, performance, and results

What's on offer:

With a base salary of up to $115,000 per annum, plus a generous quarterly performance-based incentive structure, a strong growth-focused sales professional could expect to earn in excess of $155,000 OTE per annum.

Company vehicle, phone, and laptop are also provided.
