About the job IT Support

Job Context:

Riseup Labs is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining our IT infrastructure, providing end-user support,
configuring network and server environments and ensuring the smooth operation of daily IT functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users across Windows, macOS, and Unix systems.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers (MikroTik, Cisco, home routers), switches, and related networking equipment.
  • Maintain internet cable infrastructure and resolve connectivity issues promptly.
  • Support Active Directory environments, including user account management and access control.
  • Configure and manage email systems, particularly Zimbra mail servers.
  • Use tools like WinBox for MikroTik router configuration and monitoring.
  • Assist in server setups (web, storage, and domain servers) and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure IT systems comply with security and compliance standards.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and IT procedures for internal knowledge sharing.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate in CSE (IT background will get preference).

Additional Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Zimbra, MikroTik, Cisco, and Active Directory.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux server and desktop systems.
  • Familiarity with domain servers, web servers, and client-side storage tools.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and cable setup.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
