About the job IT Support
Job Context:
Riseup Labs is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining our IT infrastructure, providing end-user support,
configuring network and server environments and ensuring the smooth operation of daily IT functions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users across Windows, macOS, and Unix systems.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers (MikroTik, Cisco, home routers), switches, and related networking equipment.
- Maintain internet cable infrastructure and resolve connectivity issues promptly.
- Support Active Directory environments, including user account management and access control.
- Configure and manage email systems, particularly Zimbra mail servers.
- Use tools like WinBox for MikroTik router configuration and monitoring.
- Assist in server setups (web, storage, and domain servers) and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Ensure IT systems comply with security and compliance standards.
- Document issues, resolutions, and IT procedures for internal knowledge sharing.
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate in CSE (IT background will get preference).
Additional Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Hands-on experience with Zimbra, MikroTik, Cisco, and Active Directory.
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux server and desktop systems.
- Familiarity with domain servers, web servers, and client-side storage tools.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and cable setup.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
