Senior SQA (Automation Engineer)

Job Context:

Riseup Labs looking for Senior SQA (Automation Engineer) who will be responsible for delivering QA for software development agile teams in a cloud environment including designing and creating and maintaining the custom test automation framework. The Senior SQA (Automation Engineer) role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting regression automated tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive test automation framework to benchmark the accuracy, consistency, and performance of various platforms (Desktop and mobile).
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate automation testing activities.
• Integrate automation frameworks with a continuous integration server and publish regression results.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Stay up to date with new automation testing tools and test strategies.
• Develop a deep understanding of the products.
• Maintain systems with builds for testing features and latest development loads.
• Independently contribute to team objectives.
• Contribute to self-service knowledgebase, operational procedures, and documents.
• Consistently demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
• Execute business communication on system planned maintenance, incident status notifications and other customer communications.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have a working knowledge of Quality Assurance Methodologies.
• Strong skills in Automation testing.
• Extensive experience building integration test frameworks.
• 5 years of experience as a SDET with experience in Java/Javascript and/or automation testing frameworks (including Cucumber & Selenium).
• Experience of testing in Kubernetes environment.
• Experience with JIRA, Zephyr Scale, GitHub, CI/CD tooling, JMeter and GRPC.
• Able to multi-task and handle various types of requests from different people/areas.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be an independent, self-motivated, proactive, detailed, results-oriented individual.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Load and performance testing with JMeter a plus.
• Experience in mobile application testing a plus.
• Experience with AWS a plus.
• Gambling experience a plus

Working Hours:

• 5:00 pm - 2:00 am
