About the job Chief Safety Officer - Automotive

We are seeking an experienced Chief Safety Officer (CSO) to lead global safety strategy across our automotive business operations. This executive role ensures compliance with international safety standards, drives a strong safety culture, and provides strategic oversight across all modification plants and other RMA automotive businesses worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement global HSE strategy across all global vehicle modification facilities and including, but not limited to, modification centers, automotive dealerships, vehicle rentals, heavy equipment, and other automotive related businesses and functions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, OSHA, and international automotive safety standards.
- Oversee audits, risk management, and incident investigations. This also includes implementing a robust near-miss process to drive risk identification and follow-up actions to ensure a pro-active culture around safety
- Provide strategic oversight on safety budgets managed at the country level.
- Develop and mentor safety leaders across global sites.
- Lead and role-model RMAs value-based group behaviors, with a key emphasis on embedding a world-class safety culture through campaigns, and holding colleagues accountable for safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- International safety certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor).
- 10+ years in senior safety leadership, ideally in automotive or heavy manufacturing.
- Proven track record in multi-country/global safety management.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Fluent in English (other languages are a plus).
Note that this role requires travel within and between Bangkok and the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand, as well as international travel. Approximately 50% of the successful applicant's time will be spent on travel.
