Position : Financial Controller – Global Fleet Sales (Thailand)

Overview of the Role

The Finance Manager – GFS Thailand is a key leadership role within the Finance team and business operations, based in Thonglor, Bangkok. Reporting directly to the CFO – Thailand Distribution, this position is responsible for providing strong financial business partnership, overseeing cash management, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance, and leading financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis across all divisions of GFS Thailand. The role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making and driving financial performance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Support & Partnership

  • Understand key business drivers and actively participate in management decision-making processes.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and management team for strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Deliver meaningful analysis on financial performance and propose constructive actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support pricing strategies, discount structures, and campaign planning with sound financial evaluation.

Cash Management

  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow management.
  • Coordinate with RMA Group Treasury to manage credit facilities, optimizing cost and utilization.
  • Prepare accurate and timely cash flow forecasts.

Financial Planning, Budgeting, Reporting & Analysis

  • Review and validate key accounting adjustments including accruals, provisions, inventory movements, FX impacts, depreciation, and campaign liabilities.
  • Oversee Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Contribution Margin schedules during month-end closing, coordinating with HQ Accounting.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Conduct variance analysis (Actual vs Budget/Forecast) with root cause analysis and clear action plans.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for cost analysis, financial projections, CAPEX evaluations, and scenario planning.

Internal Control & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with DOA, company accounting policies, Thai GAAP/IFRS, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Support internal controls, risk management, and treasury initiatives in collaboration with HQ Finance.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead and develop the finance team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in finance, sharing knowledge and promoting continuous development.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, After-Sales, Marketing, Corporate functions, Accounting, Treasury, and IT to align financial objectives with business strategy.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, and external business partners such as John Deere and leasing partners.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Accounting or Finance).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in reporting, controlling, and treasury.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in dealership or automotive business.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both Finance and non-Finance teams.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and quick to learn new applications and processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Teams.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Experience with Enterprise Planning Systems (e.g., Oracle Hyperion Planning, SAP, Kerridge) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, and other digital tools is a strong plus.

Occasional travel may be required nationally or regionally (more than 10% of the time) to support Group and company activities. The role requires strong analytical thinking, teamwork, accuracy, and effective listening and communication skills to succeed in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
