We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial candidate to fulfil the role of Country Manager, Vietnam to lead the operations of our Industry Machinery and Technical Solutions supplier business (known as "Peja, Vietnam). This role requires a seasoned professional who combines industry knowledge and business acumen together with a strong sales orientation, capable of navigating complex projects and fostering relationships across various sectors. The ideal candidate will embody the company's commitment to innovation and long-term partnership, driving growth while integrating deeply into the Vietnamese business and cultural landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and grow existing commercial operations, relationships ensuring continuity of representation of key partner product lines in the region
  • Identify and exploit synergies within the group of companies through geographical expansion and service cross-selling.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base across Southeast Asia.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and market expansion initiatives.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and government entities.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality after-sales service, maintaining the company's reputation for excellence.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
  • Report regularly to the CEO, providing updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Background and Education

  • Languages: English, Dutch & Vietnamese preferred but consideration given to one European language with one SE Asian language.
  • Education: Masters degree level in a relevant field (business administration, sales & marketing, international management) combined with significant relevant experience is necessary

Experience:

    • Proven track record in sales and marketing of industrial equipment & machinery and managing relationships with OEMs
    • Familiarity with international trade and service.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams.
