Role overview

The Internal Audit Officer will support the Group Internal Audit Manager in continuously building the internal audit team, design audit programs, and execute audit activities in an effective and professional manner.

Key responsibilities:

  • Effectively execute assigned audit tasks independently and timely, drafting issues for reporting to enhance RMA Group internal controls and compliance.
  • Assist Senior Internal Auditor in the risk-based audit planning via review of different sources of information and interviews with key stakeholders in order to define the scope of the audit.
  • Manage stakeholder communication during audits, ensuring clear reporting on the audit result and coordinate with local management for the commitment to action plans on the identified areas of improvement.
  • Ensure all audit work is documented in an organized, accurate and concise manner, summarizing key findings and recommendations identified during the audits.
  • Assist Senior Internal Auditor in the regular follow-ups of implementation of the audit recommendations to ensure timely closure within the agreed timeframe.
  • Support the Group Internal Audit Manager in the execution of ad-hoc activities including operational support, special reviews, and management requests as needed.
  • Be able to proactively identify trainings needed for continuous improvement of knowledge and skills which is aimed at ultimately benefiting the company through value-adding results from internal audits.

The position is based in Bangkok, Thailand and there will be visits to other group/customer/vendor sites regionally as well as globally of up to 70% of the time. This will be defined annually in line with the approved Audit Schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics or related fields
  • 2-4 years of work experience in external/internal audit or internal control
  • Good analytical skills, proactive and problem-solving skills
  • Pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills and service mind
  • Ability to travel/ work upcountry and abroad.
  • Native Thai speaker with fluent communication and command of written and spoken English
