Overview and purpose of the role: 

The GL Accountant at RMA Group is responsible for managing and reconciling all responsible accounts as well as ensuring compliance with up-to-date accounting policies and standards. As such, this role is a key contributor to the Accounting team located in Bangkok, responsible for the areas of banks, fixed assets, inventory, other general ledger accounts for all entities supporting RMA Group.

Key Objectives:

  • Responsible for banks, fixed assets, inventory, other general ledger accounts as well as managing and reconciling all responsible accounts.
  • Prepare all postings in relevant accounts in accordance with Accounting Standard.
  • Record monthly Payroll and reconcile with PND1.
  • Reconcile and Confirm Intercompany balances and transactions every month-end.
  • Review and analyze Gross Profit and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
  • Review and analyze the variance of expense every month-end.
  • Review and analyze financial data every month-end.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Be main contact point for external auditors / internal audit visits.
  • Oversee tax compliance, reviews, preparation of tax reports and calculation for annual statutory accounts.
  • Responsible to prepare and submit PP.30 for the assigned companies.
  • Ad-hoc as assignment.

Background and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in general and cost accounting (in Automotive or Trading business is a plus).
  • Good knowledge in accounting principles/taxation/internal controls
  • Experience with integrated accounting software solutions.
  • Good command in English (Speaking and Writing).
