The Role: What You'll Be Doing
As a National Account Executive, you'll play a key role in managing and growing relationships with major UK retailers, ensuring exceptional service, product availability, and commercial success. Your responsibilities will include:
- Account Management - Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key retail customers.
- Commercial & Supply Chain Coordination - Collaborating across departments to ensure seamless product availability, quality, and service performance.
- Data & Performance Analysis - Monitoring key performance indicators, forecasting demand, and providing insights to support joint business plans.
- Retail & Market Insights - Conducting store visits, competitor benchmarking, and market analysis to drive category performance.
- Process & Project Management - Ensuring smooth business operations and managing value engineering initiatives to enhance margins and efficiencies.
- Product Knowledge & Category Understanding - Gaining in-depth knowledge of crop cycles, fresh produce logistics, procurement, seasonality, growing methods, and post-harvest handling to support customer needs.
What Were Looking For
- Experience in Fresh Produce, FMCG, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, or Food Supply Chain
- Proven background in Sales, Key Account Management, Supply Chain, or Customer Service
- Strong data analysis skills & IT proficiency
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and in a team
- Willingness to travel to UK factories, packhouses, farms, and client sites as needed
