Logistics Coordinator - Food Industry | Full-Time | Welwyn Garden City

Our client is a well-established European food company with global reach, supplying major retailers and food service clients across the UK. Due to the company's continued growth, the position became available for a dedicated and highly organised Logistics Coordinator to support the smooth and efficient flow of goods through a supply chain.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Liaise with logistics, sales, import, and finance teams to ensure seamless coordination

Receive and process orders using the SAP system

- Manage inbound and outbound documentation, uploading to SAP

- Ensure timely invoice processing and stock reconciliations (weekly/monthly)

Book loading and delivery slots at cold stores and with customers

- Arrange transport using approved carriers, negotiating competitive rates

- Monitor logistics operations and report disruptions or issues

- Assist with claims involving partners, customers, and service providers

- Validate and approve invoices from storage and transport providers

- Provide excellent customer service and maintain proactive communication

- Support team leadership with reporting, meetings, and ad hoc tasks

What We're Looking For:

- Higher Education (preferred)

- Experience working in a multicultural, international office environment

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)

- Familiarity with SAP (a plus)

- Proven experience with import/export of meat or other food products

- Solid understanding of UK and EU transport and cold chain logistics

- High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset

Pay: £35.000-£40.000

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 08:00-17:00, with 1 hour break

Benefits: Pension scheme, Maternity / Paternity Pay, Sick pay

Holidays: 25 + bank holidays.
