A well-established frozen food importer is seeking a proactive and organised Sales Support / Sales Administrator to join their office-based team in Chatham, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected company supplying major UK supermarkets and foodservice operators.

The Role

The Sales Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of after-sales activities and customer communication. Working closely with the sales and logistics (both UK and international), this person will manage order processing, track shipments, and maintain excellent service levels throughout the sales cycle.

This is an office-based role located in Chatham, Kent. It can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis. For part-time applicants, a minimum of 4 days per week in the office is required, totalling at least 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative support to the sales team, ensuring customer accounts are managed effectively.
  • Oversee delivery schedules, tracking shipments and communicating updates to customers and account managers.
  • Liaise with logistics teams to resolve any delivery or documentation issues promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records, contracts, and documentation.
  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery programmes, timelines, and any schedule changes.
  • Support sales teams with forecasting and shipment planning.
  • Coordinate logistics requirements to align with customer and business needs.
  • Organise internal and external meetings, preparing agendas and follow-ups.
  • Arrange and dispatch product samples for customers and internal teams.
  • Ensure consistent communication between departments to support smooth daily operations.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in sales support, sales administration, or customer service, ideally within FMCG, food, or logistics sectors.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general IT systems.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with UK and international teams.
