About the job IT Governance Analyst Legal Support
Key Responsibilities: Provide legal/regulatory support and guidance to VDOTs IT Division on procurement and governance matters Analyze proposed legislative and regulatory changes impacting IT operations Act as liaison with the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for claims resolution, debarment actions, and legal issues Coordinate and support legislative briefings during General Assembly sessions Prepare reports on legislative impacts and status for operational units Ensure compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act and related statutes⸻Required Skills and Qualifications: 8+ years of relevant experience 5+ years of experience in Virginia public procurement practices and regulations Demonstrated negotiation, mediation, and dispute resolution experience Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience analyzing complex financial/legislative data and creating clear reports Education or experience in Law, Paralegal Studies, Public Policy, Business Management, or related field Must reside within the U.S. (no offshore work permitted)⸻Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the Code of Virginia as it relates to IT Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) certification Experience working in a state or local government agency
