Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial environments, ensuring all work meets current code and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components in commercial buildings

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams

  • Perform electrical testing and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and local/national electrical codes

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely

  • Work independently or as part of a team on new construction, remodels, and service calls

  • Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job

Qualifications:

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State-specific)

  • Minimum of 35 years of commercial electrical experience

  • Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code)

  • Proficient in using tools of the trade (conduit benders, wire strippers, multimeters, etc.)

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or on a team

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Must possess a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

  • Experience with low-voltage systems (fire alarm, data cabling, etc.)

  • Experience in commercial construction projects (schools, hospitals, offices, etc.)
