What You'll Translate
Our translation work is community-centered and public-facing, with a strong focus on clarity, cultural relevance, and accuracy. Most content is designed for public audiences and written in a clear, accessible tone though some materials require greater nuance or formality.
What It's Like to Work With Us
At Rosetta, we treat freelance translators like professional partners, not gig workers. That means:
-
Full project briefs with clear context, tone, audience, and deadlines
-
Realistic timelines, consistent communication, and respectful feedback
-
Steady collaboration based on your availability and strengths
-
Support from experienced project managers, not assign and disappear
-
Prompt, organized monthly payments with confirmation at every step
One of our translators shared:
"This is one of the most respectful LSPs I've ever worked with."
We hear this often, and we take pride in it.
Rates & Payment
We are committed to fair, thoughtful compensation especially for meaningful, community-focused work.
- We primarily work with government, education, and nonprofit clients, so we prioritize building long-term working relationships, not just filling one-off jobs.
- You're welcome to share your standard rate when applying. We'll review it carefully in light of client budgets, internal consistency, and subject matter
- We consider a range of factors, including:
1. Certifications (ATA, CIOL, NAATI, etc.)
2. Years of full-time experience
Payments are issued in USD once per month, promptly after month-end
You'll receive confirmation when your invoice is received and when payment is processed
Many of our linguists say the consistency, clarity, and mutual respect make Rosetta stand out beyond just the rate.

About Rosetta Languages, Inc.
At Rosetta Languages, everything we do is guided by four core values:
Always Responsive. Always Accessible. Always Human. Always Awesome.
Were a Massachusetts-based language services provider, independently operating since 2020. We specialize in translation and interpretation for public agencies, schools, nonprofits, and private clients across the U.S.
-
Always Responsive: Whether its a rush job or a quiet collaboration, we stay quick, clear, and communicative so our clients (and linguists) never feel left hanging.
-
Always Accessible: You'll find us easy to reach, whether by email, WhatsApp, or phone and we make sure our process is just as user-friendly.
-
Always Human: No bots, no bulk blasts. Real project managers offer real context, support, and care. We work with people, not platforms.
-
Always Awesome: From government campaigns to school communications, we bring care, precision, and cultural depth to every project and we seek that same excellence from our freelance partners.
Our mission is simple: make meaning cross clearly between languages. We don't take shortcuts not with our clients, and not with our linguists.
