About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing organisation in the hygiene and industrial cleaning solutions space, serving sectors such as food & beverages and manufacturing. They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Sales Executive Hygiene to join their Sales & Business Development team in Lagos.

This is a contract role ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to launch a career in B2B sales with a strong focus on client development, product knowledge, and commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research on customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Generate leads through cold calls, networking, and referrals.
  • Shadow senior team members during client meetings and presentations.
  • Support in the preparation of proposals, quotations, and sales documentation.
  • Follow up on client feedback, orders, and collections.
  • Update CRM systems and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service) to support sales activities.
  • Participate in training and product knowledge sessions.
  • Begin taking ownership of sales targets as capabilities grow.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. (For F&B-focused roles, chemistry, food tech, or chemical engineering is required.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, coachable, and eager to learn.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Willingness to travel.
