To drive their expansion, they are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive. This role is central to the company's growth strategy, focusing on identifying new market opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline, and fostering strong client relationships. The role is based in Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in line with the company's strategic goals.
  • Generate leads and convert them into active clients for products such as LPO financing, invoice discounting, and asset financing.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients to foster business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Credit and Risk, to ensure a seamless and efficient service delivery process.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify expansion opportunities.
  • Consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of proven experience in a business development, sales, or relationship management role, preferably within a financial institution or fintech.
  • A strong understanding of SME financial products and the lending lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A goal-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM software is an advantage.
  • Previous experience working in fintech, start-up/scale-up environment would give you an added advantage.
