The HR Generalist supports daily HR operations and facility-level HR support. This role works independently to address employee relations matters, support managers, maintain compliance, and improve workforce processes while partnering with HR leadership on complex or sensitive issues.
What You Will Do (The Impact)
- Temporary Workforce Management: Oversee temporary staffing needs, agency relationships, onboarding, attendance, performance, timekeeping, invoice reconciliation, and workforce reporting.
- Facility HR Support: Serve as the primary HR resource for assigned facilities, providing guidance on employee concerns, staffing, attendance, workplace conduct, and HR policies.
- Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle: Support recruiting, candidate screening, hiring, onboarding, employee transitions, and offboarding while ensuring accurate documentation.
- Employee Relations & Investigations: Address workplace concerns, conduct investigations, advise managers on performance and corrective actions, and escalate sensitive matters when appropriate.
- Timekeeping & HR Compliance: Monitor attendance and payroll accuracy, maintain employee records, support employment law compliance, and identify workforce trends.
- Safety, Training & Engagement: Support workplace safety initiatives, employee development, training, recognition, retention, and engagement programs.
- HR Operations & Process Improvement: Analyze HR processes, recommend operational improvements, participate in HR initiatives, and provide cross-functional support across facilities.
What You Bring (Basic Qualifications)
- HR Experience: 2+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Employee Relations: Experience addressing workplace concerns, supporting investigations, managing performance issues, and advising employees and managers.
- Workforce Management: Experience coordinating temporary staffing, working with staffing agencies, and supporting workforce planning and attendance management.
- HR Compliance: Working knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, FMLA, ADA, I-9 requirements, and confidential employee recordkeeping.
- HR Systems & Reporting: Proficiency with HRIS, timekeeping systems, Microsoft Office, and workforce reporting.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve HR matters independently.
- Adaptability & Collaboration: Ability to manage competing priorities, support multiple facilities, and collaborate effectively with employees, managers, and HR leadership.
