Our client located in Montreal is looking for Assistant Manager Accounting.  This is a contract position.  Hours: Full time- 40 hours/week. On site at least once a week.  CPA is mandatory.

Language: English / French (Fluent in English, Working proficiency in French)

Skill-set:

  • Comfortable in accounting systems (Sage 300 is used)
  • Experience with manufacturing company
  • Month end experience
    • Posting / reviewing journal entries
    • Creation and review of financial statements
    • Overall understanding of accounting month-end processes (a/r, a/p, ppe, investments, inventory, etc.)
    • Assessing need for provisions/reserves

  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle
    • Overseeing a/r invoicing and revenue recognition
    • Overseeing a/r collections and analysis of aging
      • Largely project based
    • Balancing deferred revenue schedule and cycle
    • Overseeing cash receipts

  • Ability to manage/coach small team
  • Organized, able to understand client particularities
