Receptionist

Role Summary

We are working on behalf of our client to find an organised and friendly Reception / Office Administrator to join our busy plumbing office. This is a key front-of-house role, managing the day-to-day reception function while also supporting office administration and accurate data entry. The successful candidate will be confident handling a high volume of calls and will provide a professional, helpful service to both customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Customer Service

  • Answer and route incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner
  • Welcome visitors and manage reception duties
  • Take accurate messages and ensure timely follow-up
  • Provide general information and support to customers and suppliers

Office Administration & Data Entry

  • Maintain accurate records and enter data using internal systems/spreadsheets
  • Support the team with general admin tasks (filing, scanning, documentation, email correspondence)
  • Assist with ordering office supplies and liaising with suppliers
  • Help manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a busy reception or office administration role
  • Strong telephone manner with experience dealing with suppliers and customers/clients
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with data entry and working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and remain calm under pressure
  • A team player with a professional and positive attitude.
