Job Summary: Our Client are seeking a highly skilled Repair and Technical Engineer with strong experience in heat pump technology to join our repair coordination, fault diagnostics, and engineer support functions. This key role ensures that all technical issues are resolved efficiently, repairs are completed to the highest standard, and residential customers are provided with the very highest standard of work and customer service.
**RGI qualification required for gas boiler services**
Key Responsibilities:
· Services and maintenance and fault-finding support on their range of Heat Pumps, heating, hot water and ventilation products and systems.
· Provide technical support to clients and customers and staff.
· Work as part of a team to solve problems and provide solutions for the client.
· Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective action plans.
· Monitor and analyse repeat faults and systemic issues across installed units.
· Liaise with manufacturers on complex warranty and parts queries.
· Work with the scheduling and inventory teams to streamline parts availability for repair jobs.
· Support onboarding and continuous training of engineers on heat pump troubleshooting.
· Collaborate with the Operations and Quality teams to maintain service standards and compliance.
· Contribute to the development of technical documentation and internal SOPs.
Requirements
· Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with heat pump systems (air-to-water preferred).
· Proven track record in technical diagnostics, repairs, or manufacturer-level support.
· Strong leadership or supervisory experience in a service or technical role.
· Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
· Solid understanding of domestic heating, controls, and plumbing systems.
· Familiar with SEAI standards and relevant Irish compliance regulations.
· Full clean drivers license (site visits are needed).
· F-Gas certification and/or RGI registration is an advantage
Customer Interaction:
· Communicate effectively with clients to explain the work being carried out and provide advice on system maintenance and upgrades.
· Maintain a professional and approachable demeanour to build trust and ensure customer satisfaction.
Technical Expertise:
· Stay updated on the latest developments in heat pump and gas boiler technology.
· Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
