Why Pomeroy, Washington?

Pomeroy is more than a place on the map. It is a close-knit, history-rich community where quality of life shines.

  • Community Charm: Pomeroy is the only incorporated city in Washingtons smallest county, known for its warmth and neighborly spirit.

  • Historic Downtown: After a 1900 fire, the downtown was rebuilt in beautiful brick and stone. Today it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

  • Landmarks and Culture: The Garfield County Courthouse, with its rare un-blindfolded statue of Justice, anchors the town. Local museums showcase everything from mammoth fossils to pioneer quilting.

  • Scenic Adventures Nearby: Just a short drive away is Palouse Falls State Park, Washingtons official waterfall, and preserved stretches of the Lewis and Clark Trail.

  • Festivals and Traditions: From the Tumbleweed Festival to the Garfield County Fair and holiday parades, the town celebrates year-round.

Here, you get the best of both worlds. A hospital where your expertise will truly matter, and a town where neighbors still know your name.
